Valentine's Day

Since mom and dad have been together, every Valentine's Day mom makes dad heart shaped valentine's day cookies.  This year, Zach joined in the fun!

Decorating the cookie for Dad

Very serious about the decorating (although I think more sprinkles ended up in his mouth than on the cookie!)

The finished product
On Valentine's Day, Zach and I had a special mom/son V-day lunch date at Chipotle.  I had the best valentine ever!

Catching Up...

Zach is at such a fun age right now.  He is talking in sentences, loves to play pretend, play instruments (especially the drum), sing and still loves books and watching Sesame Street.  Here are a few random pictures that capture our little guy's personality.

Loving Sprinkles Cupcakes (gets this from both mom and dad!)

Arizona Visitors

We were lucky to get to spend time with mom's very good friend from college Joanna and her husband Hunter and little one Hudson.  (We missed Hudson's older siblings- Peyton and Easton who stayed home with their grandparents)  Hunter had to be in San Diego for work, so while the men slaved away, the girls (and boys) got to play!  I had so much fun catching up with Joanna and getting to see Zach and Hudson interact and play together.  We kept them very busy:  Superbowl, the Wild Animal Park, outings to lunch, downtown La Jolla and the zoo.  I just wish we lived closed so we could do this all the time!!
